About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic sales organization at Resideo, the recipient of Forbes Most Trusted Companies and Forbes Best Companies awards in 2026.   

Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is the face of Resideo to Contractors and Distributors within an assigned geographical territory. This role is accountable for driving demand and accelerating growth for Honeywell Home / First Alert / Resideo products by uncovering new opportunities, influencing product adoption and securing large-scale contractor conversions. The TSM builds strong, lasting relationships by maintaining consistent engagement, setting clear expectations, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction with our value-added solutions.   

Success in this role comes from being visible and hands-on—proactively leading sales meetings, attending trade shows, participating in contractor training, and representing our brand at industry events. All interactions, opportunities, and pipeline activities are managed through our Salesforce CRM, ensuring disciplined forecasting and business transparency. The TSM also plays a critical part in gathering and communicating competitive insights, identifying market trends, and providing accurate demand and forecast inputs that shape strategic decisions. 

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, take action to elevate Resideo’s presence, drive accelerated growth across the territory and be based in, or near, Richmond, Virginia. 

 JOB DUTIES:

  • Initiate and lead large contractor conversion sales opportunities.
  • Educate contractors and distributor personnel on our industry leading solutions.
  • Present the Resideo story at contractor meetings, trade shows and other industry events.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and market trends/insights.
  • Conduct “opportunity advancing sales calls” with Contractors and Distributors.

 YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 3+ years of Outside Sales experience.
  • 1+ year(s) HVAC, Security, or similar industry experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of working Customer Relations Management (CRM) software experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Valid driver's license.
