Repsol has an opening for a Drilling Engineering Intern located in The Woodlands, Texas.
Internship Details:
- Position will be based out of our office in The Woodlands, TX. Interns are expected onsite Monday-Friday, with the exception of 9/80's. The 9/80 schedule is optional per the manager's discretion, based on intern project scope and timeline.
- Non-local candidates may be considered but must arrange their own travel and temporary accommodation. A summer stipend will be provided to help offset out of pocket expenses.
- Students must be available for the full duration of the internship from May 18 - Aug 7. Any personal time off must be approved by the supervisor as unpaid leave and should be noted with the recruiter as early as possible.
- Interns will receive an hourly wage but are not eligible for benefits or paid time off. Interns will be compensated for observed company holidays.
Responsibilities
- Support engineering team members with day‑to‑day tasks and ongoing projects
- Assist with data gathering, organization, and basic analysis related to engineering activities
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and other supporting documentation
- Participate in meetings, reviews, and team discussions to gain exposure to business processes and operations
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams as needed
- Follow established safety standards, procedures, and company policies
Qualifications
- Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
- Successful completion of 2 years towards a Bachelor's (or higher) in an Engineering discipline
- Detail-oriented, a strong analytical background
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- Demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for the oil and gas industry
- Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of technical and non‑technical staff
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Professional conduct is fundamental to success in this position
- Proven organizational and time management skills
