Job Description:  

Repsol is seeking either a Development Analyst or Associate to join our dynamic team and support the western region’s growing utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the western United States. If you are passionate about working in a global, inclusive, and collaborative team to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for RRNA and the communities we serve, we want to hear from you. 

This role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy development, with opportunities for growth into increased project ownership over time.

Leveling (Analyst vs. Associate) will be determined based on prior experience, demonstrated technical capability, and ability to independently manage workstreams.

This position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist project leads in managing a wide portfolio of solar, wind and storage, focusing on achieving goals and defined target deadlines. Develop processes and tracking tools with key milestones, parameters, schedules, and cost forecast. 
  • Creating materials that support project development, including presentations, talking points, and market analysis
  • Assist with implementing permitting strategies, schedules, and agency and public outreach efforts to minimize project cost and risk
  • Create and/or manage internal tools for tracking efforts to develop/construct projects and for coordinating internal resources and priorities 
  • Assist with development efforts such as land agreement negotiations, processing, and permit preparation 
  • Support due diligence on project acquisition opportunities as requested 
  • Provide development support through engineering, procurement, construction, and financing as required 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree a plus 
  • Broad knowledge of Federal, state, regional, and local air, water, and conservation laws, rules, and regulations
  • Excellent problem solving and strategic thinking skills, detail-oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work product
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload, often providing support to processes managed by colleagues, while prioritizing tasks and effectively juggling competing deadlines
  •  Excellent Team-player, prioritizing the fulfillment of team objectives 
  •  Travel, as required (up to 25%) 
  • 0-4 years of work experience in a related industry desired but not required
