About our Team

The Documentation Team supports product development, data acquisition, and content quality assurance. Our team members work with various teams, gaining a wide range of experience and knowledge. We support each other collaboratively to provide quality written materials. Our team includes both experienced professionals and recent graduates. We support software development teams, public records, vendors, and customer support teams. We focus on documentation, research, data analysis, and training materials. Our team members are located throughout the United States and work with colleagues from different countries.

About the Role

As a Technical Writer Intern, you will assist the Documentation and Development teams in creating training materials for vendors. Duties include removing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from court documents, replacing PII with fictional information, assisting with Wiki page reviews, and proofreading peer-written documents. You may also create, edit, or maintain mock-ups of technical documentation such as user manuals, technical guides, and reference guides. You will collaborate with software developers, data analysts, business analysts, and other stakeholders. You will learn how to work with big data, how it is collected, and how it is used to mitigate risk in a legal setting.

Location: On-site in Alpharetta, GA. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Program Dates: May 18 – July 24, 2026
Eligibility: Undergraduate students expected to graduate by May 2027

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with an experienced technical writer to support the Certification Packet Update project. This will involve tasks such as removing and replacing PII in the court documents that are used for training.

  • Conducting research and gathering information from various sources to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation.

  • Collaborating with the Senior Technical Writer to review the Best Practices wiki pages for accuracy and clarity of the content.

  • Performing basic reviews of peer-written documents as part of the document creation/change management process.

  • Developing easy-to-understand content for a variety of audiences, including technical and non-technical users.

  • Reviewing and revising content based on feedback from stakeholders.

  • Participating in weekly team meetings and contributing to roundtable discussions.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled as a bachelor’s student pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, English, Pre-Law, or a related field of study, graduating in May 2027.

  • Be familiar with the Chicago Manual or other technical writing styles.

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software, such as Visio and Adobe Acrobat, for creating training materials. Experience with image editing software is advantageous.

  • Be results-oriented with the ability to prioritize deliverables.

  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.

  • Proven ability to effectively work independently and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

  • Be detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
