About the Role:

As a Senior Market Analyst, you will manage pricing, market intelligence, and forecasting for assigned products within the Americas region—primarily within the Butadiene chain, with flexibility based on your expertise. You will build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, gather market information, and produce high‑quality assessments and written analysis that explain key trends affecting regional and global markets. Your work will directly support strategic decision‑making for clients seeking accurate, unbiased, and data‑driven insights.

This position may require travel (up to 25%) for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing accurate and timely regional price assessments, including identifying opportunities to expand product coverage.
  • Building and maintaining an active network of market contacts to gather pricing and market intelligence.
  • Conducting regular market discussions with industry sources and clients to formulate well‑supported views on pricing, supply/demand, and market sentiment.
  • Managing, collecting, and updating market data within analytical models; integrating changes into ongoing forecasts.
  • Writing clear, insightful market analysis, commentary, news, charts, and forecasts for publication.
  • Delivering unbiased and data‑driven insights that support client procurement and strategy decisions.
  • Collaborating with global colleagues to develop supply/demand balances and long‑term forecasts across regions.
  • Representing the company at industry events, speaking with clients, and delivering presentations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the petrochemical industry or in reporting on commodity markets.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for engaging with market participants and clients.
  • Strong writing ability with a talent for providing clear, concise analytical commentary.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for conferences, client visits, and market discussions.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $86,600 - $144,400. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
