About the Role

As the Senior Director of Marketplace and Lead Solutions, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of solutions that empower insurance carriers to identify and attract high-value prospects through comparison shopping websites, lead aggregators, lead generators and independent agents. You will be responsible for creating solutions that help carriers compress the time from advertisement to quote, reducing consumer friction, and building lasting trust with consumers.   Additionally, this role will incorporate white space analysis to identify untapped market opportunities, leverage market intelligence and competitive insights to refine strategic direction, and drive thought leadership through innovative market messaging. The Senior Director, Marketplace and Lead Solutions will also be responsible for aligning product innovation with evolving customer needs and ensuring financial performance through effective marketing plans and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the vision for Marketplace and Lead Solutions, aligning with the vertical’s mission to lead, innovate, and deliver.

  • Product Ownership: Direct a portfolio of solutions including Lead Optimizer, Instant Rate, and Auto Data Prefill, ensuring alignment with market needs and business goals.

  • Market Engagement: Cultivate relationships with insurance carriers, third-party lead generators and aggregators, large independent agencies, and activation partners to expand solution adoption.

  • Innovation & Execution: Integrate capabilities in lead evaluation and quote efficiency to deliver seamless, intelligent consumer experiences.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Use analytics to optimize lead quality, improve quote efficiency, and enhance conversion.

  • Team Leadership: Fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement, cross-functional leadership through collaboration and persuasion.

  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends and competitor strategies to inform product and go-to-market decisions.

  • White Space Analysis: Identify and evaluate new market opportunities to expand the solution portfolio and drive growth.

  • Marketing Strategy & Messaging: Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling messaging and thought leadership content that positions the company as a market leader.

  • Financial Performance: Track and manage financial KPIs to ensure profitability and ROI across the solution portfolio.

  • Go to Market Plan Execution: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated go to market plans that support product launches and market expansion.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

This role requires close collaboration with a diverse ecosystem of partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and market success. You will work with:

  • Internal Teams including Analytics, Product Management, Client Engagement, Legal, BPMO, Marketing, and Technology to ensure alignment, compliance, and execution across the solution lifecycle.

  • Insurance Carriers to understand market problems and align solutions with marketing and quoting strategies.

  • Third-Party Lead Generators, Insurance Marketplaces and Activation Partners to expand distribution and reach.

  • Large Independent Agencies to understand and address their unique challenges in optimizing lead quality, quote efficiency and conversion.

  • Other 3rd Party Data Vendors/Sources to enrich targeting and personalization capabilities.

Your ability to navigate and influence across this matrixed environment will be critical to delivering value and driving growth.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in digital marketing, insurance lead generation, or marketplace strategy within the insurance industry or closely related sectors.

  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance lead generation ecosystem, including comparison shopping websites, lead aggregators, embedded insurance platforms, and independent agents.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies that drive lead quality enhancement, conversion, and revenue growth within the insurance domain.

  • Proven ability to build and manage partnerships across the lead generation ecosystem, including collaboration with third-party lead providers, marketplaces, and embedded insurance partners.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience leveraging behavioral targeting and marketing intelligence to optimize lead performance.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and external partners.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $156,700 - $290,900. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
