About this role
The Pool / Beach Attendant - provide towels and chair covers for guest at the pool and beach area. Clean up seaweed on the beach area throughout the day. Pick-up used towels throughout the day. Take dirty linen to housekeeping to be laundered.
Core Responsibilities:
• Check chaises and cushions, straps at the pool - must be uniformly set up.
• Clean up seaweed through out the day
• Rake beach in the morning and at end of shift.
• Pick up clean towels and chaise covers from housekeeping through out the day.
• Set up small cart with clean towels
• Sweep walkway around beach bar and pool
• Set up water stations with water and cups
• Open umbrellas by pool and beach
• Pick up all discarded towels and chaise covers and take to the Laundry at the end of the day.
• Close umbrellas by the pool and beach at end of day. Umbrellas must be tightened up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• High work ethic and self-initiative
• Regular attendance according to established guidelines
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
• Focus and maintain attention to multiple tasks and priorities, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions, including in high pressure situations
• Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times
• Ability to converse calmly with upset associates, superiors and guests in intense emotional situations
Physical Requirements:
• Stand, sit and walk for varying lengths of time
• Lift approximately fifty (50) pounds
• Push approximately fifty (50) pounds
• Work in a hot or cold environment
• Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability
