About this role

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Operating Room (OR) Circulator RN to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) teams!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

 

Position Summary:

Be part of our Same Day Surgery Center Team in Shakopee with occasional travel to other Same Day Surgery Center(s) as needed.

We are looking for team members to support our growing services, with opportunities to provide patient care in our Surgery Center(s). We have a fast-paced multi-specialty Surgical Center. Our team is looking for candidates with a positive outlook and ability to work well on a team.

The RN – Operating Room (OR) Circulator position provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings. Patient care may be a direct activity of the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Previous experience preferred in the designated area.

 

Work Schedule:

  • 0.8-1.0 flex FTE / Day Shift
  • Variable Start Times
  • Variable Shift Lengths 
  • Rotating Late Shifts
  • One Saturday in fourth quarter as needed
  • Occasional travel to alternate sites per rotation

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
  • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
  • ACLS Certification required (or willing to obtain within 3 months)
  • Operating Room experience required
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AORN Certification preferred (CNOR) and/or AORN knowledge base
  • Scrub experience preferred
