Park Nicollet is looking to hire an LPN to join our Behavioral Health team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Provides practical nursing care to patients in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy. Provides safe and effective nursing care by promoting a safe, therapeutic environment and by advocating for the best interests of individual patients. Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.
Work Schedule:
Monday and Wednesday 8AM - 4:30PM
Thursdays 8AM - 12PM
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
BLS provider status in accordance with American Health Association (AHA) guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and PNHS.
Basic computer/keyboarding skills required.
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
Safely and effectively operates the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (i.e., vision, hearing, blood pressure, etc.), Personal Computer, Printer, FAX Machine, Photocopier, and Telephone.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
