As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role by performing blood collection procedures with precision and care. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of blood collection techniques and safety protocols.
  • Ability to comply with HIPAA and other patient privacy regulations.
  • Valid Driver's License. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in patient-facing roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture, capillary, or arterial methods following established protocols.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling and documentation of specimens to maintain sample integrity.
  • Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards.
  • Provide compassionate and clear communication to patients to explain procedures and alleviate anxiety.
  • Coordinate with laboratory personnel to ensure timely processing and transport of specimens.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and report any adverse events or complications promptly.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies related to patient confidentiality and safety.
