About the Role:

The Patient Access Specialist serves as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring accurate registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and financial clearance. This role supports a positive patient experience while promoting compliance, data accuracy, and efficient revenue cycle processes. To show effective customer service by committing to creating positive, trust-based experiences by actively listening to customer needs, communicating clearly and respectfully, and responding with urgency and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Customer‑service‑focused with a professional and empathetic demeanor. 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities. 
  • Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality. 
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients in person and via phone in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Complete accurate patient registration, demographic updates, and intake documentation.
  • Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, referrals, and authorization requirements.
  • Collect co‑payments, deductibles, and other patient financial responsibilities in accordance with policy.

A conditional job offer is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug test and background checks. A Physical Capacity Profile may be required for some positions.
