What You’ll Do

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will support individuals with developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives while promoting their health, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow and support Individual Program Plans (IPP/ISP)

• Assist with daily routines using visual and active supports

• Encourage socialization and participation in community activities

• Assist with personal care (grooming, hygiene, dressing, bathroom needs)

• Prepare meals and assist with clean-up

• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy living environment

• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and family visits (company vehicle)

• Observe, document, and report incidents or concerns

• Communicate daily with administrators

• Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year experience working in a residential facility with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities

• At least 1 year of professional or personal caregiving experience

• Valid California Driver’s License

• Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check

Preferred (or willing to obtain):

• DSP Certificate Year 1 & Year 2

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) – within 6 months

• First Aid & CPR – within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

• Work Location: In-person (not remote)

• Shift: AM
