About This Role
The People Operations Specialist exists to make sure our team members feel supported, informed, and cared for—every day.This role reports to the Director of People Operations and partners closely with them to deliver a strong, consistent, and people-centered employee experience. You’ll be the friendly, welcoming, in-office face of People Operations—someone team members recognize, trust, and feel comfortable coming to—while also ensuring the behind-the-scenes HR fundamentals are handled accurately and compliantly.
This is a hands-on role for someone who:
- Loves engaging with people face-to-face
- Brings positive energy and approachability to the workplace
- Is knowledgeable in core HR processes and confident handling sensitive matters
- Believes HR should feel human, not intimidating
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Support team members by answering questions about policies, benefits, leaves, and employment processes with empathy and clarity
- Own core HR responsibilities, including FMLA administration, leaves of absence, unemployment claims, and required documentation
- Be Present as an in-office, approachable resource who greets team members, builds relationships, and strengthens culture through everyday interactions
- Partner With the Director of People Operations, leadership, and internal teams on employee relations matters and people-related needs
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
- Improve people processes by identifying opportunities to simplify, clarify, and enhance the team member experience

- Clear communication and trusted partnership with the Director of People Operations and leaders
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in HR, People Operations, or a generalist-style role
- Brings working knowledge of FMLA, unemployment claims, and basic employee relations
- Is friendly, upbeat, and confident engaging with people in person
- Handles sensitive information with professionalism and care
- Takes ownership and follows through
- Enjoys simplifying complex or confusing processes
- Cares deeply about people and culture
