About the Job:

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Technical Service Manager with expertise in hybrid cloud platforms, cloud-native development, and middleware offerings to join us in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will support our sales efforts for the Indian market. You'll work as part of a team responsible for creating solutions and presenting compelling recommendations to Red Hat's customers. You’ll help our customers invest wisely in solutions that will give them maximum flexibility in the future, allowing them to run faster and more efficiently. As a Technical Service Manager, you'll need to have extensive technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and create business solutions at the enterprise level. You'll also need to have excellent communication and people skills as you'll be a crucial part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat.

What will you do?

  • Manage incoming sales inquiries, coordinate services team responses, and create proposals for customers

  • Work closely with the partners to maximize project value

  • Negotiate rates, project costs, terms, and statements of work (SoWs) in collaboration with the regional services manager

  • Provide booking forecasts

  • Ensure that appropriate delivery associates are involved in validating scope of

  • engagements with your local services delivery manager

  • Participate in account strategy sessions

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets

What will you bring?

  • Background selling complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology environment

  • 3+ years of experience focused on modern application delivery frameworks and platforms like Kubernetes and Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, Knative, Serverless, Apache Kafka, Istio, Service Mesh, EKS, AKS, Mulesoft, Jenkins, Apache Spark, MongoDB, etc.

  • Extensive experience with Hyperscalers, and expertise in cloud consumption models

  • Agile development and DevOps foundation, with ability to lead transformation motions

  • Natural storytelling ability with an above-average written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Advanced presentation skill set with ability to present to executives at large companies

  • Background in consultative customer engagement with a consulting or technology company or organization

  • High level technical experience with cloud native and container technologies

  • Understanding and experience with agile methodologies and organisational and IT transformation

  • Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment

  • Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers

  • Ability to maintain a balance of strategic and tactical skills
