Senior IT Project Manager – Global Applications
Drive high-impact IT projects in the insurance industry with a senior-level role focused on Agile delivery, global collaboration, and change leadership. Work on strategic initiatives across compliance, legal, and audit functions. Hybrid setup in Toronto with dynamic, cross-regional teamwork.
What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $67-74 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $80-88 per hour.
• 12-month contract.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• In-office presence required from Tuesday to Thursday.
• Remote work available on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end project execution, including road mapping, budgeting, planning, and delivery of non-critical applications.
• Drive communication and change management to support adoption of new tools and processes.
• Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders across North America and Asia.
• Oversee all tower leads associated with Group Function Technology (GFT) applications.
• Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams.
• Manage risks, solve problems, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Support rollout of product features and track user adoption.
• Use Agile methodology and tools (e.g., JIRA) to manage and report project progress.
• Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable deliverables.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, or related field is an asset.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience leading IT projects in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies.
• Optional certifications such as CSM, PSM, SSM, PMI-ACP, or CSP are considered assets.
• 10+ years of experience managing complex, global IT projects.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, JIRA, and their application in project management.
• Understanding of data privacy, data quality, and related technical considerations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to manage change and influence cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working under pressure in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Collaborative mindset, open to feedback, and strong interpersonal skills.
