Recovery Coach - Northumberland Recovery Partnership

Location: Sextant House, Blyth, NE24 2BA- there will be an expectation to travel to other sites for this role.
Working Hours: 37 Hours per week Monday to Friday

Contract Type: Permanent
Salary:£25,110-£32,090

Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

About the Role

To work as part of a team to provide collaborative recovery planning and case management to substance misusers (drug and alcohol) across all stages of individuals’ recovery journeys, from assessment and engagement through to sustained recovery

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to the effective preparation, monitoring and review of individual recovery plans
  • Establish, develop and deliver a range of innovative structured recovery groups to promote individual service user progression from engagement, through structured treatment to selfsustained recovery.
  • Engage in training through Humankind and other providers on specifically designed group work packages and implement these within the service
  • Use a range of medium/high intense structured psychosocial interventions including motivational interviewing, ITEP, CBT-SBNT and MET in a group settings to promote engagement and retention in treatment services, encourage self-esteem, well-being, self responsibility and enhanced motivation

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

  • Driving licence and vehicle as you will be require to travel to other sites
  • Relevant professional qualification e.g. addiction studies, counselling, social work, therapeutic qualification.
  • Working with models of service delivery and issues relating to recovery planning
  • Knowledge of harm reduction approaches in relation to substance misuse
