RealPage is looking for a UX Researcher to join our internal user research department under the UX team. This is an exceptional opportunity to help our design and research teams create world class software products by providing reliable and actionable user feedback on via rigorous and iterative quantitative research with customers and internal users. UX Researcher will focus on research implementation of multiple engagements with a diverse scope and duration by conducting research independently with minimal supervision or no guidance. Additionally, this candidate demonstrates the ability to seek and lead opportunities for multiple product or feature-focused research studies while facilitating stakeholder collaboration and showing mastery of quantitative research methods. A plus is a natural ability to mentor others on UX research topics, tools, and methodologies while contributing to UX research-driven culture and influencing product roadmaps through research data.

We are seeking a talented UX Researcher with the ability to conduct quantitative studies and analyze quantitative data to inform product decisions. Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

You are a can-do and pro-active UX Researcher who understands the value of user insights to developing better product experiences in the PropTech space. The core responsibilities can include:

  • Helping facilitate collaboration within other UX researchers, designers, and product stakeholders by initiating, conducting new and progressing on the existing research projects that help define and drive the future of our products and refine some existing ones to provide better experiences to our customers in the real estate and rental industries.
  • Supporting and helping organize strategic and tactical research within the UX team in partnership with the product and development peers.
  • Helping evangelize and advocate for our users within the organization, showing how user insights drive our strategic direction and growth. This role will set the foundation for scalable, research-driven and user-focused initiatives.
  • Identifying new and collaborate on ongoing research engagements by partnering with business, support, research and design leaders.
  • Being active contributor to setting up and following the processes and expected outputs for research planning domain to ensure the success of foundational studies that address both user behavior, expectations, challenges and sentiments.
  • Assisting with research landscape by helping track research deliverables and research outputs and how they can be shaping product roadmaps, initiatives, metrics, and user pain points across the selected products.
  • Presenting quantitative findings in clear and compelling formats that are effective at bringing teams together and sparking meaningful conversations.
  • Synthesizing the quantitative and iterative research into actionable and interesting insights by uncovering patterns and themes that can effectively improve and enhance the suite of software products across user personas.
  • Communicating findings with technical and non-technical members of the teams to foster a deep understanding of user behavior and needs.
  • Advocating the value of the research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations.
  • Assisting the research team in improving quantitative processes and data collection methods.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior UX professionals and colleagues across functional teams about diverse quantitative methodologies and impactful insights.
  • Acting as an ambassador, evangelizing quantitative user research internally and externally.
  • Negotiating and influencing skills and being able to work well with cross-functional teams – e.g. product and standards designers, product managers, business analysts, engineers and business unit leaders.
  • Prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced and global remote environment while maintaining thorough documentation with clear and insightful presentations of quantitative research findings.
  • Paying an excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality, both in terms of your own work and in improving product quality through quantitative primary and secondary research.
  • Supporting research efforts that align with the business's overarching goals and user needs, driving meaningful changes in the user experience and contribute to business success.
  • Organizing specific deliverables:
    • Research documentation
    • Positional and value-added documentation
    • Research scripts, reports, and summaries

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 7+years of experience in product and/or Quantitative UX research (or equivalent of academic work)
  • BA/BS or MS or PhD degree in social sciences (Sociology, Research, Statistics, Market Research, or similar fields) or experimental psychology (experimental, social, cognitive), human computer interaction, human factors, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience or UX bootcamp.
  • Experience with primary and secondary quantitative & evaluative research as well as statistical research methodologies, including expertise in digital product development (B2B and B2C).
  • Experience with various remote research tools, methodologies and techniques.
  • Mastery of quantitative research methods with excellent planning skills and ability to distill project goals and research questions into well thought-out research plans.
  • Method determination skills – ability to identify the best method or mix of quantitative methods based on research questions, timeline and resources.

 

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • UX Bootcamp certification or other UX training/ courses could be a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Figma, Miro, Notion, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook & Power Point apps.
  • Experience or familiarity with techniques and approaches for leading customer-focused interviews and workshops.
  • Experience with conducting secondary analysis research and analysis data from diverse datasets.
  • An understanding of the Agile product development and the role of user research to support continued development.
  • Understanding of agile design and development practices and UX-centered systems thinking for complex global organizations.
  • Growth mindset and sense of humor are a must.

Pay Range

USD $85,800.00 - USD $146,200.00 /Yr.
