Where the team fits in 

The Head of Franchise Marketing is responsible for the consistency and impact of the Mortgage Choice brand at a local level across our 860+ franchises around the country. This role acts as a key interface between our Brand Marketing team and our broker network, with a wide-ranging remit across brand, local marketing, social media and lifecycle marketing.

This role leads the Franchise Marketing team (~15 people across Sydney, Melbourne and Manila), which is focused on driving successful marketing outcomes for our Mortgage Choice broker network. This team forms part of the Communications, Events & Franchise Marketing team within Financial Services. The Head of Franchise Marketing has ultimate responsibility for meeting core OKRs that are integral to the success of the Financial Services business, including driving lead volume and quality, delivering market-leading campaigns and building brand awareness.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team helping us deliver exceptional outcomes for our brokers. You’ll have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build powerful cross-business relationships, and the confidence and knowledge to effectively influence key stakeholders. A seasoned leader and strategic thinker, you will manage and motivate a diverse team of marketing experts to deliver a large volume of work to a high quality within the required deadlines.

What the role is all about 

While no two days will be the same, the core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Setting an inspiring strategic vision for Franchise Marketing at Mortgage Choice, and delivering on this strategy
  • Leading the diverse Franchise Marketing team (in Australia and offshore) across campaigns, digital marketing, local marketing and lifecycle marketing.
  • Ensuring the Franchise Marketing team contributes to FS OKRs and delivers on its own KPIs and SLAs
  • Developing and delivering market-leading campaigns and initiatives that can be leveraged by our brokers at a local level
  • Managing budgets for BAU work, campaign and project activity, consultants and MarTech
  • Running RFPs as required to secure the right support for our marketing model and technology
  • Managing and effectively leveraging the MarTech stack that supports our broker network
  • Acting as an advocate for our franchisees, representing the franchisee point of view in internal planning conversations.
  • Cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders, brokers and their franchisee teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Leading, coaching and developing team members to ensure ongoing capability uplift in marketing strategy and results marketing

Who we’re looking for 

  • With 7+ years experience in marketing management and local area marketing, with franchising or agency experience an advantage
  • With a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic yet pragmatic marketing plans
  • With a strong ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders
  • With a deep understanding of how digital channels and MarTech platforms can be leveraged to support a franchise network
  • Who is an exceptional communicator, able to present confidently and build relationships with our broker network and internal stakeholders
  • An experienced people leader who will set a strong and inspiring strategic vision and empower their team to deliver across multiple geographies
  • Who is results orientated and measures the success of campaigns to inform future activity
  • Who is proactively exploring emerging technologies such as AI and how to apply these in the marketing space
  • With a sound understanding of drivers of performance across internal and external marketing channels.
