What is the opportunity?

This opportunity allows you to play a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience and enabling optimal Business operations by providing technical end-user support, and first level mobility support, across Branches & Units in Trinidad & Tobago and IT infrastructure support at local Data Centres.

The Technical Analyst will engage with other local, regional and global technology teams, and leverage Enterprise tools, to deliver these services and enhance operational and cost efficiencies. The role requires working across a range of technologies including, but not limited to, Microsoft software, virtual environments, mobile operating systems (iOS, Android) and associated applications (e.g. MaaS360).

What will you do?

  • Establish ownership of assigned tasks and incidents and work with Technology & Business partners until closed, while managing the client experience and keeping in line with best practices and established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Work closely with third party vendors to ensure service delivery in alignment with documented expectations (warranty support, hardware and software support agreements, purchase orders etc.)
  • Liaise with IT infrastructure teams responsible for voice and data administration, network support & monitoring, servers, storage, and technology implementations to provide IT infrastructure support at Branches, Units and local Data Centres.
  • Provision IT assets at sites, actively manage accurate depot asset stock and site inventory from asset receipt to retirement and disposal.
  • Actively participate as a consultant during requirement and planning phases of initiatives and as a lead for deployment of infrastructure.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), seeking out opportunities to gain operational and cost efficiencies through reviews of processes, emerging technology, and contracts where applicable. 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of work experience and training.
  • 2+ years in a technical support environment with a solid understanding of hardware and software platforms and configurations
  • Working knowledge of Incident, Problem Management and Change Management processes and software tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders at various levels within RBC.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and adapt to changes to bring about positive outcomes in the face of high volume of work.
  • A fully functional vehicle as this role requires travel to various locations across Trinidad.

  • Knowledge of networking and communication protocols
  • Curiosity, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-jurisdictional teams
  • ITIL v3 or v4: Foundations, Operational Support & Analysis
  • Technical Certifications in an IT area(s)
  • Experience in Banking and Bank Operations
