What is the opportunity?

You’ll be working with a skilled team of developers and security architects to build and deploy highly scalable applications to On-premises Data centers and Cloud. The team is responsible for executing ‘Security-As-A-Service’ strategy – Design, Build and Rollout APIs and automations for critical RBC Security platforms and processes.

Applications across RBC consume these APIs to embed security best practices within their applications. In this role, you will be a developer within the Security DevOps and Automation team, responsible for designing and implementing software solutions across multiple platforms.

What will you do?

• You will work in an Agile manner to deliver applications, APIs, automations, and Generative AI solutions for critical Cyber Security platforms and processes.

•  Design, Develop, and Debug: Create, design, analyze, develop, and debug software applications, including Gen AI solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

• Deployment and Integrations: Build and maintain deployment pipelines to cloud platforms (e.g., OpenShift, AWS, Azure, PCF), containerize and deploy applications, and integrate security products and Gen AI solutions with existing infrastructure

•  Cyber Security and SIEM Integration: Design and build Cyber Security applications for scalability and resiliency, including Gen Ai-driven security tools, and integrate applications with SIEM systems for alerting and reporting.

•  Prioritization and Time Management: Effectively prioritize demands to meet tight deliverable deadlines and ensure high-quality software development, participating in strategy and brainstorming sessions for software-specific initiatives.

• Collaboration and Communication: Establish strong working relationships across various business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners and provide support for integration projects from business requirements gathering to go-live and post-implementation support.

• Performance Optimization: Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance, ensuring applications are optimized for scalability, reliability, and security.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 5+ years of experience with Python development, with experience with FastAPI, Lang Chain and Lang Graph

• Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure, model serving platforms, or data science workloads in production

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Middleware technologies, including but not limited to IBM MQSeries/Kafka and Redis. Proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing middleware solutions to ensure seamless communication and data exchange between applications and systems. Must be skilled working with CI/CD

• Knowledgeable of Vector databases, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines. Ability to design, implement, and optimize systems that leverage vector databases for efficient data retrieval, LLMs for advanced natural language processing, and RAG pipelines to enhance generative AI applications

• Must have a strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases

•  Experience with Source Code Management system such as GIT

• Experience with GitHub Actions

•  Solid written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

• Passion for automation, eliminating manual operational overhead, and enabling productivity in AI/ML workflows

Nice-to-have

•  Understanding of Docker and other containerized platforms

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (OCP, Azure, AWS) and web services (SOAP and REST). Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions, as well as developing and integrating web services to support scalable and secure applications

• Understanding of NLP or  Generative AI applications. Expertise in leveraging NLP libraries (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers) and Generative AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) to build scalable and innovative solutions
