Job Description

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Assist the Director in delivering and implementing Workforce Planning and Optimization practices, data & models, tools, products and services in support of Enterprise Control Testing Operations and ECCO leadership. Responsible for building and executing workforce forecasting, planning, and optimization practices, ensuring workforce capacity supports and aligns with operational and strategic goals. Leveraging data analytics, modeling and insights and tools, this role forecasts workforce demand and capacity, monitors performance, translates insights into actional plans, and identifies opportunities to optimize workforce utilization, efficiency, and service achievement.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Analyze and optimize capacity: Match testing demand with resource availability across teams and geographies, using staffing models tailored to platform/risk-specific testing attributes (e.g., test duration, control complexity).

  • Monitor productivity trends: Track capacity data, identify leading indicators, and proactively alert testing leaders to potential bottlenecks or challenges.

  • Support hiring and test planning: Partner with leaders to assess workforce needs (e.g., volume changes), forecast near/medium-term testing demand, and prepare for platform test planning discussions.

  • Balance workload: Develop strategies to align work demand with control tester supply, avoiding spikes through creative solutions (e.g., workload redistribution).

  • Assess new testing demands: Evaluate impacts from 1LOD requests (e.g., MRAs, SOX changes) and 2LOD decisions (e.g., non-key controls) on resource needs.

  • Manage staffing operations: Maintain ECT staffing lists, distribution lists, and other operational tools.

  • Enhance resource management: Design and implement strategies (e.g., cross-training) and tools to improve testing resource deployment, monitoring, and efficiency.

  • Support workflow tool implementation: Collaborate with the Director, Data and Planning to select/implement workflow solutions (e.g., designing queues, defining requirements).

  • Partner with key stakeholders across ECCO, 2LOD, and T&O to align priorities and delivery.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance workforce planning processes and implement best practices across the organization.

  • Manage competing priorities, timelines, and expectations across multiple initiatives.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • 5+ years of work experience in workforce planning, forecasting, analytics, capacity planning, or related field within a large, complex organization.

  • Proficient in data analysis and forecasting techniques, including modelling and statistical analysis.

  • Proven ability to leverage data to support workforce optimization and decision-making.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actional insights.

  • Familiarity in operational risk management (first and/or second line of defense capacities) and/or experience working in an operations environment supporting multiple business units.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on competing priorities, and manage timelines and expectations to ensure timely execution across all deliverables.

Nice-to-have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Human Resources, Business Administration or related background.

  • Previous experience working in highly regulated business environments or financial services sector.

  • Knowledge and/or experience working across different platforms and/or functional units of a diversified financial services firm, including exposure to multiple geographies.

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable

  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities

  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact

  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
