Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

The Associate Director, EIMR Change Oversight will be responsible for supporting the oversight and challenge of various change initiative triggers such as IRP, RTA, PARA, SRMA, POC etc. The role will mainly be responsible for providing subject matter expertise to manage Change Initiative Data Risk Assessments (DRAs) and Supplier Risk Management Assessments (SRMAs) while working closely with business segments across the organization globally, to ensure all Segments are consistent with Change Initiative Oversight approach.

The role will be an instrumental in shaping how Information Management (IM) Risk is governed for initiatives across the Enterprise. The Associate Director will participate in and provide advice on Risk forums and support the development of modernized IM risk assessments and develop governance to ensure sustainable IM risk management.

What will you do?

  • Provide Oversight & Challenge on data risk assessments across different trigger events (e.g. Integrated Risk Profile, Supplier Risk Management Assessments, Risk Triage Assessments, Proof of Concept etc.) to ensure risk measurement and appropriate risk mitigation.
  • Lead the end-to-end cycle of quarterly oversight reporting - from data collection, sample reviews, development of insights, report generation, and review with stakeholders.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on IM risk management for AI initiatives to first- and second-line partners and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the effective integration of AI risk management into existing risk management frameworks.
  • Act in an advisory role to first line and second line partners and facilitate training and communication on data risk assessment, controls and oversight
  • Partner with other 2nd Line areas such as Privacy, IT Risk, Law Group, Compliance and Ops Risk for the development of strong data risk oversight model.

What will you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 7-10 years financial services industry experience preferably some background in Group Risk Management (2nd LOD).
  • Understanding of data governance and data risk management principles, with the ability to apply them in an AI context.
  • Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring of project progress.
  • Experience with managing stakeholders in project delivery, and effectively communicating with and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style depending on the audience at all levels within the Bank

Nice-to-have:            

  • Certification in AI risk management is an asset
  • Experience in AI risk management, including knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
  • Awareness of relevant regulations concerning AI applications in financial services
  • Evidence of a strong network of relationships and ability to build relationships with relevant stakeholders and work with them to drive strategy implementation
  • Data analytics and reporting skills are a plus
  • Adaptability and ability to deal with ambiguity and to influence outcomes in a matrixed environment
  • Effective time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills to meet tight timeframes as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
