Raymond James is establishing enterprise-grade Generative AI capabilities through its Agentic AI initiative. We are seeking a Senior Analyst, AI Engineering to play a critical role in translating business needs into clear, executable requirements and ensuring disciplined delivery across AI engineering efforts. This role is critical to delivering RAI our best-in-class AI assistant for the firm.

Job Description

The Senior Analyst, AI Engineering serves as the key business analyst supporting the Agentic AI engineering team. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, product leaders, and engineers to define requirements, manage backlogs, support testing, and ensure delivery rigor. The role requires strong analytical discipline, deep business understanding, and the ability to think like a technologist without being an engineer.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead requirements discovery with business stakeholders, translating needs into clear, testable requirements and user stories.

• Own and maintain high-quality backlogs including features, epics, stories, and tasks.

• Ensure requirements are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for engineering execution.

• Support agile delivery practices including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and capacity planning.

• Partner with engineering teams to ensure shared understanding of scope, acceptance criteria, and dependencies.

• Lead functional and user acceptance testing to validate delivered solutions meet business expectations.

• Coordinate defect tracking, triage, and resolution.

• Act as a trusted liaison between business partners and AI engineering teams.

• Contribute to establishing and reinforcing strong business analysis standards and delivery discipline.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role supporting technology delivery teams.

• Demonstrated experience writing detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Strong experience working in agile delivery environments.

• Hands-on experience supporting testing and UAT activities.

• Strong understanding of business processes and enterprise operating models.

• Conceptual understanding of modern technology platforms, including data and AI systems.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI, data, or analytics platforms. Experience working with enterprise-scale technology platforms.

• Ability to mentor junior analysts and influence delivery best practices.

• Financial services industry experience.

• This role is part of the Agentic AI team, responsible for building foundational AI capabilities for the enterprise.

• The Senior Analyst is expected to operate with a high degree of ownership, rigor, and accountability, helping ensure AI engineering efforts deliver business value with clarity and predictability.

Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science (Required), Bachelor’s: Information Technology
