Fixed Income Associate - 12 Month Contract

 

How does the role impact the organization?

Raymond James Ltd. is seeking a motivated individual to join our Fixed Income & Foreign Exchange team in our downtown Toronto Corporate office. This role provides day-to-day operational and administrative support to the fixed income and foreign exchange trading desks, and will work closely with advisors, and internal support teams.

This exciting opportunity is well-suited for someone early in their career who is looking to build a strong foundation in financial operations and advisor support.

What will your role be responsible for?

  • Assist with the daily reconciliation of trading positions;
  • Support advisor inquiries regarding basic trade or operational information with clarity;
  • Support the maintenance and updating of Fixed Income offerings, including regularly uploading and updating documents on our internal Raymond James platform;
  • Assist with advisor- and client-facing communications;
  • Prepare and distribute routine daily and monthly reports in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements;

What do we expect from you?

  • Prior experience in the investment or financial industry (operations, administration, or support-related roles preferred);
  • A post-secondary education in economics, finance, business or a related field;
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills,
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Demonstrate email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette and relationship management skills; and
  • Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks

Salary Range: $75,000-80,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
