The Material Handler is responsible for accurately pulling product, building pallets, and loading completed orders onto delivery trucks in a safe, efficient, and organized manner. This role is essential to ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers and maintaining smooth warehouse operations.
Accurately pull product and build orders according to Load Out sheets.
Operate appropriate material handling equipment (manual and power pallet jacks, etc.).
Monitor product date codes and follow FIFO (first in, first out) rotation to ensure product freshness.
Verify the accuracy of all orders prior to wrapping and staging.
Wrap, stage, and load completed orders onto delivery trucks.
Unload inbound trailers of pallets and/or shells as needed.
Follow all company safety procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Complete daily equipment inspections and maintain equipment in proper working condition.
Assist team members as needed to support workflow and productivity.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including picking up trash, sweeping, and re-packing product.
Participate in required training programs.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment (distribution experience preferred).
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.
Ability to lift 40 lbs frequently and 30 lbs overhead frequently.
Ability to occasionally lift CO₂ cylinders weighing up to 55 lbs.
Ability to push, pull, walk, and stand for at least 8 hours per day.
Ability to operate manual and power pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail, dependability, integrity, and self-motivation.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and teamwork.
Must be able to pass a background check, Motor Vehicle Report, and company drug testing requirements.
