About this role

Primary Function

The Material Handler is responsible for accurately pulling product, building pallets, and loading completed orders onto delivery trucks in a safe, efficient, and organized manner. This role is essential to ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers and maintaining smooth warehouse operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately pull product and build orders according to Load Out sheets.

  • Operate appropriate material handling equipment (manual and power pallet jacks, etc.).

  • Monitor product date codes and follow FIFO (first in, first out) rotation to ensure product freshness.

  • Verify the accuracy of all orders prior to wrapping and staging.

  • Wrap, stage, and load completed orders onto delivery trucks.

  • Unload inbound trailers of pallets and/or shells as needed.

  • Follow all company safety procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

  • Complete daily equipment inspections and maintain equipment in proper working condition.

  • Assist team members as needed to support workflow and productivity.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including picking up trash, sweeping, and re-packing product.

  • Participate in required training programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment (distribution experience preferred).

  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs frequently and 30 lbs overhead frequently.

  • Ability to occasionally lift CO₂ cylinders weighing up to 55 lbs.

  • Ability to push, pull, walk, and stand for at least 8 hours per day.

  • Ability to operate manual and power pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

  • Strong attention to detail, dependability, integrity, and self-motivation.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and teamwork.

  • Must be able to pass a background check, Motor Vehicle Report, and company drug testing requirements.
