About this role

Overview

The candidate will be part of Rambus Memory Interface Chips BU’s design group responsible for specifying, architecting, executing and productizing leading edge memory interface buffer chips for DDR5, DDR6 and beyond.

 

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles. Employees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.  

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and create integrated circuit schematics in Virtuoso Schematic Editor
  • Simulate analog & mixed signal circuit schematics with Spectre
  • Perform AC, DC, transient, noise, periodic stead-state, and transfer functional analysis
  • Optimize designs for power, performance, area
  • Provide instructions to layout engineers for physical implementation
  • Review, extract layout designs using standard parasitic extraction tools such as StarRC, Quantus
  • Create design reports and present results to design community
  • Work with the Lab/System team for test plan, silicon bring up and characterization

Qualifications

  • M.S. Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Experience analog or mixed-signal circuits including schematic, layout, and post-layout
  • Fundamental knowledge of basic building blocks like bias, op-amp and LDO
  • Good knowledge of design principles for practical design tradeoffs
  • Desire to exercise small signal and transient circuit analysis to solve mixed-signal problems

The US salary range for this full-time position is $128,900 to $193,300. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
