Department Overview
Rakuten Travel, as one of the largest travel companies in Japan, has a mission to enrich people's lives through travelling. Within this mission, the Mobility Division is a department in Rakuten Travel that focuses on creating new value in transportation.
In this role, you will take a proactive lead in digital marketing (including listing and display ads) for the mobility sector of Rakuten Travel, from strategy planning to execution and performance evaluation.
At Rakuten Travel, we manage our digital marketing in-house without relying on agencies, always striving to implement cutting-edge digital marketing practices. This includes not only basic ad operations but also advanced initiatives such as utilizing machine learning and feeds for ad management, and trialing beta version ad products.

Position Details
- PDCA aiming to achieve KPIs for sales through listing/display advertisements
- Operation, strategy development, effectiveness analysis, construction/improvement of bidding logic, creative improvement, etc.
- Attribution analysis and optimization of advertising investment allocation
- Communication with major partners such as Google, Yahoo!, Facebook for strategy planning and execution
- Collaboration with product managers and engineers for the establishment of digital marketing foundations and introduction of new products
- Specification design and implementation for tags, feed data, and marketing automation
- Research and execution of new marketing initiatives
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience in web marketing (3 years or more)
Desired Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing in general
- Experience in account setup and operation for listing (Google, Yahoo! Japan)
- Experience in operating Google Ads Script, Google Ads API
- Implementation experience of listing operation platforms (Kenshoo, Marin, SA360, etc.)
- Experience in operating display advertisements and coordinating/implementing tags and feeds
- Experience in building data acquisition environments using tags and measurement tools (Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
- Experience in utilizing DMP
- Experience in operating large-scale accounts (advertising expenses of 10 million yen or more per month)
- Data analysis using Tableau
- Data analysis using SQL (Teradata, Big Query)
- Statistical analysis
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of APIs and XML
