Department Overview
Rakuten Travel, Japan's largest online travel agency, aims to enrich people's lives through travel. To this end, the mission of the Marketing Department is to communicate the value of Rakuten Travel's services to domestic and international travelers through the most appropriate means of marketing approach and to increase the number of Rakuten Travel fans. Position Details
In this position, you will work as a UX Designer responsible for site improvement and content design to make Rakuten Travel services more comfortable for users.
- Realize designs that improve the experience by using a cycle of prototyping, user testing, and results analysis to discover issues and propose hypotheses.
- The design lead will collaborate with UI designers, developers, and product managers to solidify requirements and designs.
- Promote various development projects for building design systems, new services, and PoC.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in UX and project management
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of HCD (Human-Centered Design)
- Proposals for new services and improvements based on user research
- Knowledge of SEO, web accessibility, and site performance
- Experience in launching and improving applications
- Experience in operating and managing e-commerce sites and large scale sites

Additional information on English Qualification
TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country)
In this case, it is necessary to achieve a TOEIC Score exceeding 800 after joining Rakuten in order to be eligible to become a regular employee.
If no evidence is available to prove the qualifications denoted above, taking an IP test, organized by Rakuten, during selection process is required.
