Department Overview
The mission of Financial Business Supervisory Department is to develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive growth and innovation in Rakuten Fintech Business, while overseeing and supporting risk management and compliance framework across Rakuten Fintech Group Company to ensure sustainable and stable operations.

Position Details
As a candidate for the position of Strategy Office in the Financial Business Unit, you will be responsible for the following tasks, as an example.
Development and implementation of the overall strategy for the financial business
- Rakuten's overall financial business strategy is formulated and implemented
- Evaluating and coordinating the business plans of individual companies
- Propose strategies based on market trends and competitive analysis
- Rakuten's financial business strategy is designed to maximize synergies within Rakuten
Governance and Risk Management
- Assessment of each company's governance system and recommendations for improvement
- Establishment and operation of risk management frameworks
- Support and follow-up of Internal Audit
Monitoring and performance evaluation
- Monitoring of each company's performance
- KPI setting and performance evaluation
- Regular reporting to exectives
Mandatory Qualifications:
- High communication skills, including negotiation, coordination and relationship-building skills
- Experience in the financial industry (e.g. advisory work at a securities company, planning department at a bank, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA or CFA holder
- Experience in a holding company
