Department Overview
The Payment System Department is the core division supporting Rakuten Group's payment infrastructure, responsible for the design, development, and operation of Payment Service Provider systems.
We provide diverse payment methods to merchants—including credit card payments, convenience store payments, carrier billing, and deferred payments—ultimately supporting systems used by tens of millions of end users in their daily shopping experiences.
By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and engaging with services from the very top stream, our engineers gain invaluable experience and constant intellectual stimulation.

Position Details
- Develop and maintain Java applications, leveraging various Java frameworks and ORM technologies
- Database SQL knowledge and DB performance insight Business Requirement definition (which is a kind of BA role)
- Documentation of the system development life cycle phases (Functional/Technical Specification)
- Coding
- Creating Test Case and Execute Test (Unit, Integration, Performance, Penetration Test, non-regression)
- UAT Test Support Documentation for all system development phases
- Web-based applications and services using web tools and technologies Human resource estimation and schedule planning for each task
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Develop and maintain Java applications, leveraging various Java frameworks and ORM technologies
- Database SQL knowledge and DB performance insight Business Requirement definition (which is a kind of BA role)
- Documentation of the system development life cycle phases (Functional/Technical Specification)
- Creating Test Case and Execute Test (Unit, Integration, Performance, Penetration Test, non-regression)
- UAT Test Support Documentation for all system development phases
- History of successful product delivery
Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including high degree of attention to detail and accuracy In-depth understanding of Object Oriented and SOA design concepts
- Knowledge on Data visualization tools is a plus (such as Tableau...)

What you'll do
- The role involves developing and maintaining Java applications using various frameworks and ORM technologies, alongside defining business requirements and documenting all phases of the system development life cycle.
