Job Description

Role Purpose

The Manual Payments & Collections Administrator will support Telematics Malaysia by managing monthly manual payment arrangements to improve Sales-to-RGU conversion. This role ensures accurate payment collection, allocation, and reconciliation, while providing proactive support to customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Payment Administration

  • Manage a portfolio of telematics customers on monthly manual payment arrangements.
  • Issue payment instructions and ensure customers receive clear payment references.
  • Monitor incoming payments and ensure accurate allocation.

Collections & Follow-Up

  • Follow up with customers on outstanding and overdue payments.
  • Request and verify proof of payment where references are missing or unclear.
  • Collaborate with Finance to reduce unallocated cash.

Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Liaise with Credit/Finance to reconcile payments and resolve allocation issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate payment records and customer communication logs.
  • Provide reporting on manual payer status, overdue accounts, and reconciliation challenges.

Stakeholder Support

  • Act as key contact for Sales teams regarding manual payment arrangements.
  • Support training and process roll-out for Sales teams on the manual payment workflow.
  • Work with Telematics and Finance stakeholders to refine processes.

Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure processes comply with internal financial controls and company policies.
  • Identify risks within manual payment flows and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

What should the candidate have:

  1. At least Bachelor in Accounting / Finance or related field with 2 – 3 years of accounting experience especially on data entry via accounting system.
  2. Experience in preparing Management Accounting would be an advantage.
  3. Strong knowledge on financial regulations and accounting principles.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Words.
  5. Excellent attention to details and analytical skills.
  6. Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
