RVA is looking for a full time Engineering Designer to join their Structural team.
This is a mentored role with a firm target to develop the right candidate within an established group mentoring and collaborative environment
Duties:
- Draft structural plans, create and manage BIM models, and details for structural construction drawings.
- Measure, assess and sketch structural layout and details for new and existing buildings, bridges, tanks and tunnels.
- Prepare detailed design calculations and planning reports.
- Carry out Condition Assessments and structural visual surveys.
- Project coordination.
- Inspection and Contract Administration of heavy civils projects.
- Other tasks as assigned and appropriate for this position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with up to 1-3 years of relevant experience. A focus or interest in the design of heavy civil structures is preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, Robot, SAP2000, Phase 2, and other industry related software would be an asset.
- Excellent command of the English language and the ability to communicate proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Compensation Range
Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
