About the Team:


The core product team at Quizlet is dedicated to evolving the learning process for students into a guided, multi-session, full-learning experience that helps students make tangible progress toward their learning goals. Leveraging data science-driven recommendations and a deeply integrated, course-centric product structure, our goal is to ensure students are studying the most relevant material in the most effective way.



About the Role:


We are seeking a Lead Core UX Product Manager who will drive the product vision and strategy for our core study modes. They will pair AI and learning science to unlock new use cases that allow our students to get to deeper levels of learning. They will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering managers, designers, data scientists, and other product development teams to make our core study modes the best way to practice and master material.


We’re happy to share that this is an onsite position in our San Francisco office. To help foster team collaboration, we require that employees be in the office a minimum of three days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and as needed by your manager or the company. We believe that this working environment facilitates increased work efficiency, team partnership, and supports growth as an employee and organization.

In this role, you will:
  • Drive Product Vision: Develop and articulate a bold product strategy that ensures Quizlet leverages the latest advancements to support new use cases and serve our students effectively
  • Conduct User Research: Partner with user research and design teams to conduct user interviews, synthesize insights, and inform the product roadmap
  • Problem-Solving and Prioritization: Break down large, ambiguous problem spaces, prioritize them, and focus the team on key hypotheses
  • Feature Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality, impactful study-enhancing features
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with marketing and subscription teams to ensure features reach the right users at the optimal time in their learning journey
  • Be a Thought Leader: Advocate for the role of user-centric design and UX in the overall Quizlet product roadmap


What you bring to the table:
  • Experience: 8+ years of product management experience with a focus on user experience, consumer products and data-science baked products
  • User-Centric Approach: Proven track record of building and testing delightful user experiences and delivering quantifiable results.
  • Comprehensive Involvement: Enthusiasm for being involved in every step of the product development process, from understanding user needs to analyzing metrics and building roadmaps
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with imperfect information and limited resources
  • Passion for Education: Excitement about enhancing learning experiences for millions of students worldwide through innovative online study tools

  • EdTech or an educational background in learning science
  • Used Quizlet to teach or study


Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

Salary transparency helps to mitigate unfair hiring practices when it comes to discrimination and pay gaps.  Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $190,000 - $230,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
