What You will Do:

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of engineering design techniques along with a proven track record of leading design engineering projects. This role will involve overseeing Design activities, guiding a team of engineers, and collaborating with customer cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Design engineers, providing technical guidance and support
  • Oversee the execution of Design projects, ensuring high-quality results through technical reviews and strict adherence to project deadlines
  • Help engineering team develop and validate 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to ensure product meets customer requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams ensuring manufacturability and feasibility of designs.
  • Perform basic stress and thermal analysis on designs or coordinate with Stress team.
  • Participate in the testing and evaluation of prototypes or coordinate with Testing team
  • Ensure designs are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay current with new technologies and design methods.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, or ProE. NX preferred.
  • Understanding use of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) tools such as TeamCenter.
  • Proficient knowledge of GD&T tolerancing and implementation.
  • Experience calculating tolerance stacks to maintain fit, form and function.
  • Desire to mentor and help train newer, less experienced engineers.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Aerospace industry knowledge preferred.

Pay Range:$85,000 to $120,000

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements: This position is classified as Remote within the United States.

Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, 0% of travel is required.

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
