POSITION: Mechanical Engineer

What You Will Do:

• The primary focus of this role is hydraulic & actuator system support in a shop floor environment
• Provide ongoing support for multiple projects, track tasks and maintain deadlines.
• Create weekly status reports detailing work completed and hours worked
• Read and interpret drawings/blueprints
• Generate drawings and read through procedures and specifications and translate into a repair procedure
• Configuration Management of drawings, engineering changes, and 3D models.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Manufacturing/Aerospace environment
• Demonstrated ability to interpret design & engineering schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to apply standard work to repair techniques.
• Familiar with traditional manufacturing methods, practices, and materials.
• Familiarity with Aerospace mechanical components, such as hydraulics and actuators a plus
• NX experience preferred  

Pay Range: $85K to $105K

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements:

This role is considered an on-site position located in Rockford, ILL

• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. 
• Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, zero travel is required.

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
