Network Engineer (Service Provider WAN)

The team supports large-scale routing infrastructure and collaborates closely with stakeholders across operations, systems engineering, and automation to ensure robust connectivity for global research and trading activities.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Your Future Role within QRT</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Operate, troubleshoot, and enhance large-scale WAN environments to ensure availability and performance.&nbsp;</li> <li>Design, implement, and support MPLS-based solutions</li> <li>Configure and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;routing services across multiple BGP address families.</li> <li>Design, implement, and troubleshoot multicast services using technologies such as MVPN.&nbsp;</li> <li>Analyse and validate MPLS label operations and end-to-end forwarding behaviour.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support TCP/IP-based services and traffic flows across a multi-site network footprint.&nbsp;</li> <li>Produce and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;technical documentation, including design artefacts and operational procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering and operations stakeholders to progress projects and BAU activities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Act as an escalation point for complex network issues requiring deep technical investigation.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Your Present Skillset</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Strong operational experience with MPLS environments.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of:&nbsp;</li> <li>BGP (including EVPN, VPNv4, IPv4)&nbsp;</li> <li>MPLS&nbsp;forwarding&nbsp;and label distribution&nbsp;</li> <li>Multicast and MVPN&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficiency&nbsp;with at least one major routing platform (e.g., Arista, Cisco).&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven ability to troubleshoot complex MPLS, routing, and&nbsp;forwarding&nbsp;behaviour.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, QoS, routing protocols, and traffic engineering concepts.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience working in environments with strict availability and reliability requirements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Useful&nbsp;additional&nbsp;experience includes:&nbsp;</li> <li>Network automation (e.g., Python)&nbsp;</li> <li>Model-driven networking&nbsp;</li> <li>CI/CD concepts applied to network configuration&nbsp;</li> <li>Telemetry and streaming-based monitoring approaches&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>QRT is an equal opportunity employer.
