Role: Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Support Engineer to join our dynamic team within the healthcare domain. This role involves providing expert technical support for diverse cloud environments, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and containerized applications. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and application issues, analyzing logs and metrics to diagnose performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities, and contributing to continuous improvement through proactive monitoring and optimization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and thorough documentation of technical tasks are essential to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our cloud solutions.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support for virtual machines, storage, networking, and containerized applications (GKE).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues, analyzing logs and metrics for performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.

  • Design, develop, and implement automation scripts and internal tools using languages like Python/Go to streamline infrastructure management, incident response, and platform operations.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement through proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management.

  • Stay current with cloud features and best practices, sharing knowledge and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Document technical tasks, procedures, and developed solutions for consistent operation and knowledge transfer.

Must have skills:

Cloud based infrastructure services.:

  • Experience in deploying and maintaining Cloud based infrastructure services. 

  • Well versed with service-oriented architecture, cloud-based web services architecture, design patterns and frameworks. Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, preferably within a support or production environment. 

  • In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud SQL, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Functions, Dataflow jobs and Cloud Monitoring. 

  • Understanding of Linux system administration and scripting languages like Bash or Python.​

Backend Development & Support Skills:

  • Experience with FastAPI Framework for backend API development in Python, including debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis of API endpoints.

  • Familiarity with database concepts (SQL/NoSQL) and ability to perform basic queries for data investigation and troubleshooting backend issues.

  • Understanding of message queues (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka) and asynchronous processing patterns for diagnosing distributed system problems.

  • Ability to analyze backend logs and metrics (e.g., using Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring) to identify root causes of application failures or performance bottlenecks.

Frontend Development & Support Skills:

  • Experience with TypeScript and Angular framework for frontend code debugging, including browser developer tools, network analysis, and understanding of component life cycles.

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot common frontend issues such as UI rendering problems, JavaScript errors, API integration failures, and performance degradation.

  • Familiarity with web standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and cross-browser compatibility issues.

  • Understanding of how frontend applications interact with backend APIs and ability to identify where issues might originate (e.g., CORS, authentication, data formatting).

DevOps & Automation Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline (preferably ADO CI/CD, Cloud Build) for understanding deployment processes, troubleshooting build/deploy failures, and assisting with pipeline improvements.

  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform for understanding infrastructure as code, reviewing configurations, and assisting with infrastructure-related incidents.
