Who You Are & The Impact You Will Have:

The QTS Rotational Development Program - Generalist Track is designed to prepare high potential candidates to take on roles at QTS leading initiatives, teams, or functions. The generalist track of the program is a 9 to 18-month program during which participants will go through 4-5 rotations: 1. Site Operations, 2. Property Development, 3. Technology Operations, 4. Corporate Shared Services, and 5. Optional rotation. The participant’s responsibility in each rotation is to develop a solid understanding of the functional area, lead projects, and provide general support to the team they are embedded in. Throughout the program, QTS leadership will work with the participant to identify a post-program role in the company that balances their interests, skill set, and QTS needs.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead or actively participate in end-to-end assessments for cross-functional initiatives, including data gathering, analysis, recommendations, and implementation planning and coordination.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives and provide project management support in critical areas of QTS.

  • Coordinate and drive successful change management efforts across diverse business functions.

  • Form and manage cross-functional project teams to achieve objectives.

  • Utilize AI prompting and industry-leading performance-enhancing applications to drive project outcomes and operational efficiency.

  • Analyze the operational and financial impacts of proposed solutions to make impactful recommendations.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the data center industry, QTS product offerings, and QTS operating model through immersive rotational experiences.

  • Balance assigned/directed tasks with self-identified project opportunities.

  • Regularly present findings to various levels of QTS leadership.

  • Travel between corporate and team hubs up to 25%

What You Will Need to be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Four or more years of professional experience.

  • US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced degree (technical Master’s degree or MBA).

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, Finance, or Economics.

  • Seven or more years of professional experience.

  • Two or more years in a supervisory role.

  • Experience in technology, construction, engineering, or energy sectors.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Process Improvement Certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).

  • Management consulting or professional services experience.

  • Travel between corporate hubs up to 25% in Suwanee, GA; Ashburn, VA; Overland Park, KS, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong drive for initiative and creativity.

  • An enthusiastic attitude in a team environment and ability to work independently.

  • Team-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable collaborating across all organizational levels.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
