About this role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer Lead to design, build, and lead scalable data platforms and pipelines in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in AWS services, data engineering best practices, and the ability to lead technical teams while collaborating closely with business and analytics stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines on AWSArchitect end-to-end data solutions using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, EMR, and Step FunctionsBuild and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQLLead and mentor junior data engineers; conduct code reviews and enforce best practicesCollaborate with product, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutionsEnsure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are metOptimize performance, cost, and reliability of AWS data platformsSupport CI/CD, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data workflowsDrive adoption of modern data engineering tools and frameworks.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field10+ years of experience in data engineering, with 4+ years on AWSStrong hands-on experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena)Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQLExperience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or AWS Step FunctionsStrong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis)Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)Exposure to Snowflake or Databricks on AWSAWS certifications (AWS Data Analytics, Solutions Architect)Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
