📍 Medicine Hat, AB |🕒 Full-Time | 🔐 Security Clearance Required | 💼2 Years Experience

🛠️ What You’ll Do

The Electronics Engineer is responsible for the electronic aspects of the design, development, testing, and documentation of uncrewed vehicle systems at QinetiQ Target Systems. This position collaborates across disciplines to ensure system requirements are met and supports operational needs.

  • Design electronics systems in line with requirements and safety standards
  • Develop PCBs and power distribution systems, cables & harnesses for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems.,
  • Develop documentation for design validation and qualification of assemblies & subsystems
  • Collaborate with other technical disciplines to ensure overall system requirements are achieved and to meet operational requirements
  • Assist with cost estimates for new products and services
  • Participate in field operation and testing as required
  • Review technical drawings and schematics
  • Reliable and committed to adopting, upholding, and complying with QinetiQ values, ethics, policies, and procedures including health and safety, work in line with the ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015, general data protection regulations and use of IT, HR policies and procedures, equity and diversity, security and confidentiality, and code of conduct.
  • This role may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving business priorities and may include additional responsibilities as required.
  • In accordance with our Hybrid Work Policy this position is allotted 800hrs/yr of hybrid work.

 

🎓 What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Eligible for APEGA membership
  • Proficient in Document Management software and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Technical writing and documentation
  • Electronic System Design
  • Experience with Altium
  • Experience in avionics, marine, vehicular military systems, and Datalinks
  • Knowledge of PowerPC, STM32, and x86 platforms
  • Network and Data links programming experience
  • Mechatronics and Configuration Management
  • Project management
  • Familiarity with using electronics test equipment (JTAG debuggers, Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Signal generators)
