Our Consumer Goods Division is dedicated to helping brands, retailers and manufacturers worldwide deliver safe, quality and ethically made products to their consumers. Every day at work, our inspectors, auditors, and lab techs use their expertise to help safeguard the products you use every day in your home: from clothes and footwear to toys and baby products, to electronics, appliances, and furniture.
Job Description
- Implement the management system and ISO/IEC 17025;
- Carry out tests according to international standards/client specific method;
- Troubleshoot problems that arise during testing, seeking help from the manager if necessary;
- Involve in testing capability development under supervision of senior staff;
- Maintain the operation of each testing team;
- Involved in the selection and acceptance of new instruments and equipment, as well organize/conduct the acceptance of consumables;
- Involved in operation, maintenance, calibration / verification, performance check, and/or intermediate check of equipment in textile testing lab;
- Finish other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Minimum bachelor degree in science or Engineering Discipline
QUALIFICATION
B.Sc. in any Discipline or Engineering
TRAINING
ISO/IEC 17025 requirement, Textile Testing Training etc.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Familiar with textile standards/ requirements
- Can conduct group tests for strength (tensile, tearing, attachment), dimensional changes, color fastness, fiber content, pilling, abrasion, flammability etc…
SKILLS
- Accurate typing skills and general computer skills.
EXEPRIENCE
2-3 years’ experience in Textile testing laboratory; Experience of Accreditation Body Audit is advantage
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
Good command in written and spoken English and Bengali
OTHERS
- Analytical mind and logical thinking.

What you'll do
- The Laboratory Testing Specialist will implement the management system and carry out tests according to international standards. They will also troubleshoot testing issues and maintain the operation of the testing team.
