Job Description
- Operate the management system under ISO 17025;
- Oversee the operations workflow and processes of the testing laboratory;
- Lead the team to perform tests under appropriate test requirement(s) and terminology;
- Perform new chemical test development: test machine/material specification, establish test method and validation, create associated SOP(s), WI(s), datasheet(s), and measurement uncertainty model;
- Lead the team to meet deadline so as to sustain the service delivery;
- Review current chemical SOPs, WIs and datasheets;
- Review chemical test result and report;
- Failure analysis; improve the current laboratory operation process;
- Purchasing reference standards, such as, calibration lens, reference solution, etc.;
- Deliver training to both chemical testing teams/other departments.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Degree or above in Chemistry related subject, e.g. Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry
QUALIFICATION
- Approval signatory is preferred
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025 and accreditations requirement;
- In-depth knowledge of toy, consumer products, or food contact article safety standards/requirements in various countries.
- In-depth knowledge of measurement uncertainty estimation and application
- In-depth knowledge of method validation or verification
SIKLLS
- Good trouble shooting and supervision, leadership skills;
- Good communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
EXPERIENCE
- 4-5 years working experience in a testing laboratory and able to manage the test instrument, e.g., AAS, GC/MS, LC/MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and UV-VIS, with 1-2 years management / supervisory experience.
- Experience shall also include test result and report review, method validation and measurement uncertainty estimation
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.
OTHERS
- Analytical mind and logical thinking;
- Strong technical knowledge.
