Main tasks (primary responsibilities) of the position:

  • Represent trade and logistic compliance function in Greater China: With a main focus on main-land China
  • Management and control of import & export processes in regards of the related compliance and the supervision of Import and Export Brokers and Forwarders
  • Assures company compliance in logistic related China law (i.e CFDA) and drives implementation of new regulation into the Supply Chain processes
  • Maintains a network to be pro-actively informed about changes in regulations
  • Drive improvement project in trade and logistic compliance and assesses upfront the financial implications
  • Close cooperation with regional Supply Chain and Quality and Regulatory organization
  • Cross-functional integration and support of Order-to-Cash and Trade Compliance processes
  • Management of import & export documentation; current and archive
  • Monitor import & export related activities to validate operating systems, processes, files, and databases are functioning in compliance.

Position requirements, qualifications and experiences:

                     

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in foreign trade, and/or brokerage, and/or Custom law
  • Working experience a qualified Trade and Logistic Compliance role, especially with focus on China – partiality Shanghai port - for more than 5 years
  • Good network in the region established
  • Used to work independently
  • Project management experience
  • Experienced working in MNC
  • Experience with Customs & Trade Compliance administration and related authorities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Preferred also with SAP (SAP GTS)
  • Flexibility in work schedule
  • Requires some travel, domestic & international (~20-40 % travel may be required)
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin further languages preferred
