About the role

Do you want to design embedded software that powers life-saving diagnostic devices? Join our R&D team in Barcelona and develop firmware for next-generation IVD instruments. Your work will enable precise biological assays and improve patient outcomes worldwide.
This is an onsite based role in Barcelona, Spain.


Your Tasks

  • Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware (C/C++) for hardware subsystems.

  • Develop low-level drivers, control loops, and real-time components for microcontrollers.

  • Work hands-on with prototype instruments and laboratory tools.

  • Translate product requirements into detailed firmware specifications.

  • Create manufacturing tests, calibration routines, and service diagnostics.

  • Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams.
     

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Automation) or Physics.

  • Experience in scientific or industrial instrumentation, preferably regulated environments.

  • Strong programming skills (Python, C, C++).

  • Knowledge of AI/ML and data processing is a plus.

  • Advance level of English, both written and spoken (required).
