About the role

Are you ready to define the architecture for embedded systems that power diagnostic innovation? Join our R&D team in Barcelona and lead firmware design for next-generation IVD instruments. Your expertise will ensure scalability, modularity, and compliance in regulated environments.
This is an onsite based role in Barcelona, Spain.


Your Tasks

  • Define and maintain embedded firmware architecture across microcontroller platforms.

  • Lead design decisions on OS, drivers, interfaces, and hardware abstraction layers.

  • Ensure scalability, modularity, and performance of embedded platforms.

  • Guide implementation of AI/ML-ready data processing pipelines.

  • Drive best practices in coding standards and design reviews.

  • Mentor developers and contribute to team skill development.

  • Ensure compliance with IEC 62304 lifecycle and regulatory standards.


Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Physics.

  • 3+ years of experience in firmware development within regulated environments.

  • Multidisciplinary technical knowledge (Python, C, C++, HMI, image processing).

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical application.

  • Advance level of English, both written and spoken (required).
