About the role
Are you ready to define the architecture for embedded systems that power diagnostic innovation? Join our R&D team in Barcelona and lead firmware design for next-generation IVD instruments. Your expertise will ensure scalability, modularity, and compliance in regulated environments.
This is an onsite based role in Barcelona, Spain.
Your Tasks
Define and maintain embedded firmware architecture across microcontroller platforms.
Lead design decisions on OS, drivers, interfaces, and hardware abstraction layers.
Ensure scalability, modularity, and performance of embedded platforms.
Guide implementation of AI/ML-ready data processing pipelines.
Drive best practices in coding standards and design reviews.
Mentor developers and contribute to team skill development.
Ensure compliance with IEC 62304 lifecycle and regulatory standards.
Your Profile
Master’s degree in Engineering or Physics.
3+ years of experience in firmware development within regulated environments.
Multidisciplinary technical knowledge (Python, C, C++, HMI, image processing).
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical application.
Advance level of English, both written and spoken (required).
