The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Senior Financial Lines/Casualty Underwriter to join our Auckland-based corporate team for 12 months to cover parental leave starting in March 2026. Partner with a wide range of brokering partners.

Your new role

You’ll manage accounts across a broad range of brokering partners. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the corporate portfolio, including:

  • Contribute to strategy, planning, and execution of policies and product plans to maintain portfolio balance.

  • Underwrite standard and complex risk business in line with business plans and delegated authority.

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Support growth through quotes, renewals, policy maintenance, problem-solving, and collaboration with intermediaries.

  • Occasional travel to meet key broker partners.

About you  

You’re an insurance professional with excellent stakeholder relationship skills. In addition you’ll have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven problem-solving ability.
