The opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Officer to join our Melbourne-based Motor team. This position will see you provide delivery of superior claims service, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases.

Your new role

  • The management of lodgements and repairs for Motor Claims utilising multiple claims systems and processes

  • Maintaining positive stakeholder relationships with the insured, agents and service providers

  • Interpreting basic policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submitted

  • Receiving, recording and processing incoming insurance claims

  • Authorizing payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements and

  • Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arranging investigations.

 

About you

  • Experience in a similar role within Motor Claims will be highly advantageous

  • An individual who has mechanical or technical bike knowledge will be highly regarded

  • Highly developed customer service, communication and negotiating skills

  • An individual who is tech savvy and quick learner

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
