The opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Officer to join our Melbourne-based Motor team. This position will see you provide delivery of superior claims service, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases.

Your new role
The management of lodgements and repairs for Motor Claims utilising multiple claims systems and processes
Maintaining positive stakeholder relationships with the insured, agents and service providers
Interpreting basic policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submitted
Receiving, recording and processing incoming insurance claims
Authorizing payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements and
Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arranging investigations.
About you
Experience in a similar role within Motor Claims will be highly advantageous
An individual who has mechanical or technical bike knowledge will be highly regarded
Highly developed customer service, communication and negotiating skills
An individual who is tech savvy and quick learner
Strong organisational and time management skills

What you'll do
- The Claims Officer will manage lodgements and repairs for Motor Claims, maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and interpreting policy coverage. They will also process incoming claims, authorize payments, and identify suspicious claims for investigation.
