Primary Purpose of the Job

Educational Qualifications
To provide a professional technical guidance, with full responsibility and accountability,
to ensure that the Quality Management System is well implemented within the offshore
department.
To ensure and monitor full compliance to QatarEnergy Standards, Shell Dep’s, and
applicable International Codes throughout the performed projects, which shall be
addressed in the relevant Project Quality Plans (PQP).
Required Experience and Skills
3. Minimum fifteen (15) years of relevant QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas projects,
including a solid offshore experience, minimum 5 years in similar senior position.
4. Qualified as Lead ISO 9001 Auditor. Professional qualifications relevant to quality
is desirable. Working knowledge and experience with international codes and
standards relevant to quality.
5. Familiar with development of quality management systems, quality assurance &
control relevant to Oil and Gas or Infrastructure and Civil projects during
engineering development, procurement, construction & commissioning.
6. Working knowledge in the manufacturing inspection and certification processes
for equipment/ materials in projects and the associated Quality Assurance and
Quality Control practices.
7. Working knowledge in offshore construction, welding & NDE (conventional and
non-conventional techniques) is essential.
8. Proficient in the English language (both written & spoken).
9. Leadership skills to motivate and organise Project and Contractors quality &
Inspection Teams to achieve a high-performance level.
Educational Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an internationally recognized
University, preferably a Mechanical degree. Master’s degree is also preferable.
2. Membership of a recognised Professional Institution of relevance is preferable.
