Freedom Detox is currently seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join our dedicated team in Gastonia, NC!
This position is Full Time and requires open availability for Day Shift
Salary: $17 per hour
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shifts
Requirements: High School Diploma/GED and Drivers License
Summary
This role is essential for delivering both residential and outpatient treatment services. As a direct care position, your primary responsibility will be to interact with and supervise clients in treatment, as well as provide transportation services for Pyramid Healthcare clients. You will assist the clinical and administrative teams in identifying and addressing client needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete the intake process with new clients entering the program.
- Maintain accurate client documentation.
- Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable.
- Coordinate client activities.
- Follow treatment plan objectives and address client-specific needs.
- Provide client transportation.
- Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients and respond appropriately, including crisis intervention.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
- Assist with the dietary needs of clients.
- Transport clients to and from designated locations within expected time frames.
- Supervise and support clients during transportation.
- Maintain all necessary documentation associated with services provided.
- Complete all required training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Licensure, Education, & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferably, behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of hire with a safe driving record.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
