What you will have an opportunity to do:

The McArthur's Bartender is responsible for making and serving beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction; prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests; and maintain significant menu knowledge of both the beverage and food menus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks.

• Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.

• Check guests for proper identification.

• Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest and personnel guests including those served by other Servers to maintain accountability of all beverages served.

• Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all moneys.

• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.

• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.

• Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained.

• Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.

• Lock up and store all beverage, food and other items, deposit cash drops and secure bank.

This is a full-time position, and you must have flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION

• High school graduate or equivalent, preferred

EXPERIENCE

• At least two (2) years of Bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant

• Experience in an upscale / luxury dining environment, preferred

• Hotel / resort experience, preferred

• Experience with POS systems such as Micros or Agilysis

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

• Maricopa County Food Handler Card

• TIPS Certified

• Title IV Certification, preferred

• ServSafe Certified, preferred

• CPR / First Aid Certified, preferred
